Going into this evening, I asked Dave, "how long do you think we will last?" Dave said two hours. I thought one hour. It was actually one and a half hours. It was one and a half hours of ecstacy for Dave - who loves him anything baseball. One and a half hours of eating and climbing bleachers and trying to steal food from the people next to us and going potty for the kids. One and a half hours of my life where I had to sheild the kids from a fly ball and a playground. What in the world is the purpose of a playground at a baseball field. Doesn't it defeat the purpose? Anyway--our first game. We made it through the first quarter, and now Dave is talking about season tickets.

Oh, look how cool he is. Check out that ride. He is on top of the world. Sha-Sha is soooo happy. Next week he's going to drive me to go and pick out his high school ring!!

I still remember his first day of school -- now we are buying his high school ring and he's on his second car!!!
He worked hard all summer long and saved & saved & saved. I couldn't be happier for him!! really....even with a fast ride that's a chick magnet.

summer's over

to the zoo. then bowling for the evening. then off to the "beach" the next morning. all the while with Shane looking for cars on e-bay...."but mom, it's only $17,892.00. plus shipping. from croastia." I don't know if i spelt that right, but certainly you get the point.

ahhhhhh------summer's over and all the big kids will be back at school. give me back my parks. maybe I'll actually GET a chair at the pool. Fall decorations are out at old time pottery. tomorrow, I will make shane chocolate chip cookies to have when he comes home from his first day of school. ahhhhh.....the end of summer. so long.

By the way, that was my first time letting adyson outside in a two-peice. i figured i better, cuz i still have two she hasn't worn yet. only one person commented on her "belly".

Goodbye Dora

Yes, it is true. I can no longer be called Dora. The other night I went out with Dave for some chicken wings and switched to a purse (Dave gets embarassed when it is just he & I and i carry a backpack. Imagine??). The next day I said, hmmmm......let me see how this will go. And we all have suvived the last few days.


I have always carried a very small bag. Some women refer to them as wallets. Small wallets. So, off i went today to my favorite store, ROSS to buy a handbag. It's been years and i really didn't know what I was looking for. So, of the 10 I had on my arm that I had to narrow down from, it was easy enough to go, uummmmm, these three are under $100.00!!!!! I'll choose from them.

What's that? it does look fabulous. large enough for the three of us yet still lightweight. Yes, it was a good choice. What? You're not talking about the purse anylonger? Oh that car? well, Yes, that was my other purchase today. Ain't she a beauty? I can't wait to drive to Florida!!! Can't wait. I think I might sleep in there tonight. i can put cotton in my new handbag so I can have a pillow.

Adyson - let little girl pick out clothes, chase her all over house trying to dress her, give up, trap her in bathroom and keep entertained while getting hair out of face. Clean up-go back to trying to get her dressed. Total average time spent = one hour.
