HYSTERICAL!!

They are hysterical!

Oak Mountain

Such a beautiful day. I can't believe it's nearly June. I don't think it broke 85 degrees. There was a breeze...it is fabulous weather. FABULOUS!!!

"Hay ride"

The Red-Neck Way.
I have really come to embrace some things that are considered "red-neck". There. I said it. Out loud and in print. Come on and try to fight me. Tell me this isn't great!! I DARE You.

Monkey girl

Yes, that's one of her nick-names.

Beaming with pride

It's a little side heavy, as Max did end up trying to dig through it. but wait........keep looking below...
Do you see it? Right there! It's my first tomato! It's the size of an acorn right now, but I can't tell you how very excited I am. It looks delicious doesn't it?

The dress

I made this little bandanna dress for Adyson when she was like 1 year old. It has been hanging in her closet for 2 years. I'm so excited that she can finally wear it. Yes, I will trim the ribbon. Gets me all sortsa excited to pull out my sewing machine.

A fun day at the park

The horror!!

A benefit of both kids (a year and a half apart) wearing the same size is...you would think...sharing clothes.
She was so unhappy about this. "But...but....these are Riley's. They are not pink. What's this? (looking down at her belly. ) A Tiger?"
"Yes, princess, they are not pink and I will do laundry tomorrow. I promise. It is just jammies--no one will know."
Oh....how terrible of me to break her little heart and make her wear BOY jammies. Terrible parenting! Terrible!

something must be wrong

If there is GRASS growing in my bird feeder. GRASS!!!!!! GRASS!!!!!!!!

And Riley said:

"Hey Sha-Sha...I have MY OWN ride!!"

To Scotty

Happy Birthday!!!!!! We love you!

My Mother's Day week

Yes, my kids are fabulous and all - I couldn't be happier with them, but I spent my first Mother's Day away on my own :-( sob. Went for a little trip to Florida. Started off at my brothers house for a bit of tanning by the pool, then we headed down to West Palm to spend Mother's Day with our mother. I had forgotten what a terribly scary driver my brother is. I'm still shaking. Here we are. Don't we look happy to be together? It took me like a good 30 minutes to learn how to use the self timer on my camera. We were standing outside in the heat FOREVER smiling at a camera that never went off. I got it now. Not to worry if I ever suggest it again (note to family at christmastime!)
Then, as I extended my stay, my mother put me to work. I don't remember what we were building, but that was my first time with a power tool (other than a weed wacker). It was quite thrilling. All that power!!! I may be addicted!
Then I came home to my darling darling family, and I still don't feel like I got enough hugs & loving from my babies to make up for the week I was gone. I don't think I'll ever get enough.
And thankfully, it rained every day while I was gone, so my garden is still living.

More vegetation

I hate to call it plan B - in case the garden doesn't work out, but here it is...plan B. These are tomoto plants. Notice the chop-stick holding them up? I feel very professional.

One of those Topsy Turvey things You've seen on TV. And, yes....this is Plan C. I am determined to not pay $2.29 a pound for tomoatos this year. It's on my front porch. Very Red-Neck of me, I know. It will be relocated soon. It actually has little yellow flowers on it that make me feel pretty good that something will happen here SOON.
These are sunflowers. Did you know you can just plant the regular seeds that you would normally eat right INTO THE GROUND??? AMAZYING!!
Parsley & basil. MMMMmmmmmm
And some flowers that my Princess picked out.
WOW! That's alot, huh? there was also this kids "greenhouse" thing that was a dud. Normally I would have blamed it on my gardening skills, but today, not so much (I say as my chest puffs out a little bit)!! Grandpa Joe would never believe that not only have I not killed anything yet, but it's actually thriving.

It's official

We are gardeners!!!!

This is only 1/2 the garden size I want, but it was time to get these babies in the ground. I mixed up all the seeds, so have no idea what is what...but know that there are pumpkins and squash and cucumbers. I don't remember what else.
Little Mini-Me (AKA: Adyson) is VERY excited about her plants growing and generally is the one to remind me water them. She also is not very fond of worms.

My sweethearts

Just my babies having fun.

bathtime

In case you were looking forward to a cute bubbly photo, be warned.....it ain't pretty. We've been having sucha hard time at bathtime. I mean screaming, crying , fits on the floor....not only by the kids. I told Adyson, if she can't stand the water in her eyes, well, she'll have to wear a mask.
This was all it took and now bathtime has been WONDERFUL. We don't need the mask - I think she got the point. Good thing, because I have no idea how I would have washed her hair with that on.

The Keough boys

We spent some time last week with all of the Keough boys at our house. This is all I will say.....these boys can eat.
and talk.
and my babies loved their uncles being here.
