The second first day ever of the week.

She has been so excited to start school. She could have started last year she was sooo ready. So excited!

Here she is meeting Ms. Jennifer for the first time. All my kids at school today. This is really a big deal for me. Not Big!! Huge!!! Know what I'm doing? Cleaning. That's terrible, I know when there are so many stores calling my name... I need to pace myself. My babies! All grown up. All of them.

The first ever first day

My babies!! My BABIES!!!! How did they get so big? I am sitting here at home now tapping my foot waiting until it's time to pick him up. We were driving away, and Adyson looked over at Riley's seat and said, "I miss Wiwey". Tomorrow they both will be gone and I will be alone. All alone. For three hours. During the day. It just seems unreal. Why do they have to go and get all big? Why can't they stay little? My babies!

The last first day

Look at him!!
His very last first day of school.
Big Man On Campus.
Can you believe it?
I still remember walking him in to meet Ms. Rhodes--his first grade teacher back in 1996.
Now, he is looking towards graduation.
Unbelievable.
Simply Unbelievable.

The tooth fairy

That is Adyson in her wedding veil, walking next to the tooth fairy.
Adyson makes the fairy flap her wings whenever she walks around. That's some awfully big ear-bling for the tooth fairy to be wearing. Still not sure why she has to carry around a baby-doll, but she does, because Adyson says so.

Cutie-Pie - snakes & snails & puppy dog tails

There were many a sno-cone par-tay's at the Keough's this summer. (see how I say that like summer is over?)

Sha - Sha.

Cutie-Pie - sugar and spice & everything nice

It seems like her hair grew three inches last night. Just beautiful. And I am entirely jealous. Although you don't see it in the last picture here....she has learned to smile at the camera and mama could not be happier!!

National Night Out

There was so much there for the kids to see & do. That was actually Adyson's second time in a helicopter. That's Shane there in the background..."Duck your head!!"

Happy 6th birthday Alyssa!!

BFF's forever!!!

The garden

Just for you all to see so I can puff my chest out a little bit. We have quite a bit of vegetables coming out of there each week. Makes for very healthy eating. Yum!!!

Max.

Many times in the past weeks I have sat here and looked at the empty blog entry screen. Just could not bring myself to blog it. But, here I go.
Max is no longer with us.
We are all absolutley and totally heartbroken. Still hear his bark and the klink of his dog-tags. Still hear his tail hit the floor as he wags it. Still expect to see him when we come home. Still awkward to walk down the hall and not have to step over him.
Adyson came into my room the other morning when she woke up as she does every day. She tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Max is never coming home??" "No darling. No, he's not."
OK--have to go blow my nose.
We love you Max. You are, and always will be, the best dog ever.
