Zoo trip

The first camel ride. She was just beaming!!

Then off to the water fun, lunch, and the foamy stuff. Is that soap? Who knows. All I see is that it kept mini-me happy for $2.50 worth of time. If you're wondering, that's 5 minutes!!!

Riley was there too. Just WAY too hot of a day for him. He's not a big fan of the summer in the first place. Then to spend a few hours in the HOT HOT sun, Well, let's say I felt so very bad for him that I let my kids know there is a gift shop at the zoo and they were able to go in and pick out an animal. Riley got a snake. Think he was trying to get back at me?????

Baking and other food stuff

That first photo, you know what that is!! That is my very first tomato from my very own garden. I mean to tell you, we sliced it up so everyone got a slice. It was the best tomato I've ever tasted. My garden is in full swing, and what I thought were pumpkins may turn out to be cucumbers. Who cares? They are growing right in my yard!!! Delicious!!
The second cookie is the first run at some holiday baking. Just a trial run that turned out fabulous!! Yesterday was Cupcake-palooza at the Keoughs. Guess what? It was fabulous!!

Black & Blue festival part 2

The blue part. Just at the beginning of the season, but still well worth it. Even got Shane working. WOW! I KNOW!!!!

Then, of course we headed down to Chilton Cty. for some peaches. Delicious!! Simply delicious!!

Black & Blue festival part 1

The black part...it was raining when we got there. Thought it was going to be a bad day.....but

Look at the size of them!! I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Then I popped one in my mouth and was sure.

Even Riley liked picking them. Big deal for Mr. Clean hands!!

Random thoughts

Can you believe he is 18 years old? He still thinks this is funny. WHEN DOES IT END?????????

And this year, I bought a larger pool. Nice, huh?

The garden

Well, somehow...(grandpa)....my garden has trippled in size. Isn't it great?? The pumpkins took off & overtook my entire little garden & had to be moved. So, they are way in the back there & didn't really come out in the picture. Then, who knew I had a green thumb? I went on-line and ordered MORE seeds. There is all kinds of stuff in this garden, and more to come. And just look at mini-me. She absolutley LOVES to garden. Helps me water them every morning & check them out. My tomatoes, by the way, are doing Fabulous!!!!! Cuz I'm sure you all have been on the edge of your seat waiting for an update.

Happy Birthday Sha-Sha

Happy 18th Birthday Shane.
We love you!!

CityFest

Really, every year it gets better
She cannot pass a pony without a ride.

And those crazy little things to build. Some kind of planter thing. Goes well with our theme this year.

Lightening Bugs

I Love this part of summer.

Riley is not very fond of them.

And we call him....

Monkey-boy.
