Is this love????

A family of five - without a dryer for THREE weeks. I was determined that my fabulous husband would be able to fix it. He can fix anything.

Secretly, going to the laundrymat is not so bad. 10 loads at once - a weeks worth of laundry - done in 3 hours. Then a folding party at home. It really wasn't so bad.

But - I finally accepted that my dear husband would not be able to fix it. I think I had forgotten how nice it is to have a dryer. And not have clothes hanging all over your house drying. And I started using downy instead of dryer sheets - a whole new enjoyable experience. But when it comes down to it - I love my new dryer. I love Bounce dryer sheets. I love staying home and doing laundry in my nightie.

Festival at the Park

She is such an animal lover. There was no doubt she was going to ride the horsey. That's the reason we went. Riley hung out with his mommy while she was riding. my little boy, not so much an animal lover
Then doing some running around plus pizza for dinner and the most fabulous end to the evening = tea party with Daddy.

Happy Halloween

The first of many outfits. This will take her mind off the cinderella costume for about....oh.....four minutes.

So sweet

They are so sweet together. Every morning when I get up I pour them both a glass of juice, and Adyson will always grab Riley's and bring it to him before she grabs hers and joins him.

Whenever I ask a question, "Who loves ice cream?" "Who wants to go to the park?" Riley will always respond with "WE DO" or "US"....always including his little sister. It is the sweetest thing in the world.
Don't get me wrong - they fight daily, more than once, but deep down they love each other. It's so sweet.

Are they twins???

I get that question ALL the time. I mean almost everyday. They are the same height/size (though it doesn't really show very well here). Riley is about to hit another growth spurt--he must with the way he is eating. Every once in a while (normally with jammies) I pretend they are twins. see? It's kinda fun!

Happy Birthday

My little boy is now officially 4 years old. It makes me very sad. My babies!!!! How could it have been 4 entire years? Wait--didn't I say that EXACT same thing on Shane's birthday? Let me go check that post. Yup. Sure did. You would think I'd have gotten used to it, but I guess not.

Anyway--there is a house full of spidermen and transformers and a whole lot of tiny peices to little toys that already are well, we'll just say they are "missing". Oh--and then there was that rockin' ice-cream cake from dq. Woo-Hoo! Shout out for an employee discount!! Thanks Sha-Sha.
Happy Birthday Riley!!!!!

Labor day

I can't say it enough.
Good-bye summer.
He went out with a BANG!!

The final Keough/Keaton BBQ of the hot, hot unbelievably long and hot summer.

rain

Rain. This was our first of many fun projects for this rainy day. Yes, organizing our dresser drawers IS FUN!!! Shane used to alway stick out his tounge when he was writting or drawing. They are so alike!! Right now they both are giving me a break and are each in their own bedrooms playing. I pulled out Riley some "new" army men (why they sell them in bags of one thousand is just perplexing to me!) and Adyson's dollhouse got a new kitchen makeover with all stainless steel appliances. You would think that would buy me an hour, but here she is climbing on my back as we speak. My moment is over.

no words

Shane is fine except for his broken heart.

Their first baseball game

Adyson scared of the huge fake puppy.
MMMMMmmmmmm...hotdogs.

Going into this evening, I asked Dave, "how long do you think we will last?" Dave said two hours. I thought one hour. It was actually one and a half hours. It was one and a half hours of ecstacy for Dave - who loves him anything baseball. One and a half hours of eating and climbing bleachers and trying to steal food from the people next to us and going potty for the kids. One and a half hours of my life where I had to sheild the kids from a fly ball and a playground. What in the world is the purpose of a playground at a baseball field. Doesn't it defeat the purpose? Anyway--our first game. We made it through the first quarter, and now Dave is talking about season tickets.

hot shot

Oh, look how cool he is. Check out that ride. He is on top of the world. Sha-Sha is soooo happy. Next week he's going to drive me to go and pick out his high school ring!!
I CAN'T GET OVER IT!!!!
I still remember his first day of school -- now we are buying his high school ring and he's on his second car!!!
He worked hard all summer long and saved & saved & saved. I couldn't be happier for him!! really....even with a fast ride that's a chick magnet.
